How it works

  1. Press START, or hit a key. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.
  2. Keyboard or touch, whichever is in front of you.
  3. Finish a game and the bits land in the Bit Bank on the way out.

Questions, answered honestly

What does the seven-piece rotation guarantee?
The shapes arrive in bags: each bag is all seven shapes in a shuffled order, so you can never be starved of the one you need. The longest possible wait is twelve pieces, from the last of one bag to the first of the next. It means a bad run is bad luck about ORDER, never about a shape simply refusing to appear.
What is the pale outline under the falling piece?
The landing preview. It is drawn by the same code that performs the drop, so it cannot show you one thing and then do another.
How does scoring work?
One row scores 100, two 300, three 500 and four at once 800, all multiplied by your level. Level rises every ten rows and the pieces fall faster with it. Dropping a piece yourself earns a couple of points a row, so being decisive pays.
What are the controls?
Left and right arrows move, and holding one repeats. Z rotates. Up or X drops the piece instantly. C holds a shape for later, once per shape. Space starts and pauses, as it does everywhere in the arcade.
